Langford Academy is one app with three ways in. A student searches for a class and
attends it, a teacher publishes it and sets the fee, and a parent pays for it and sees
whether it happened.
Online tuition already works. What tends not to work is everything around it. A parent
pays into a system that gives them nothing back but a receipt. A teacher does good work
and then spends the evening chasing people for money. A student is the only one who
knows what actually happened in the hour, and nobody asks them.
The fix is not another video call. It is a single record that the person paying, the
person teaching and the person learning can all see, so nobody has to take anybody’s
word for it. The register is marked once, by the teacher, in the class. Everything else
on the platform reads from that.
