Terms

What each of us is agreeing to.

Last updated 11 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Langford Academy (“Langford”, “we”). They apply to this website and, once it opens, to the Langford app. Using either means accepting them.

What Langford is

We are the place teachers and students find each other, and the system that holds the money and the record of the class. We are not the teacher. The class itself is between the teacher and whoever booked it, and the teacher is responsible for what they teach and how.

Teachers

Behaviour

Classes are a place of work for the teacher and a classroom for the student. Anything that would get you removed from a real one gets you removed from this. Safeguarding reports are acted on the same day, and a substantiated one removes a teacher permanently.

Content

What a teacher makes stays theirs. By publishing it on Langford, a teacher gives us a licence to show it to the students booked into that class and to display the parts of their profile that appear in search. Class recordings are kept for seven days, so booked students can watch them back, and are then deleted.

What we are not liable for

We run the platform with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for what a teacher says or teaches in a class, for exam results, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a power or internet failure on your side.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid through Langford in the three months before the problem arose. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changing these terms

If we change something that matters, we will update the date at the top and, once you have an account, email you at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us will be heard by the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
